Mireia Feliu Fabra is a multimedia artist who received a PhD Cum Laude in Fine Arts from University of Barcelona, a MFA from SVA School of Visual Arts (Computer Art) in New York, and a BFA at University of Barcelona, coursing the last year at Leeds Metropolitan University (UK). She has been adjunct Professor at Pace University and Thesis Advisor at SVA, both in New York. Currently she is a Full Time Professor at Undergraduate and Master levels, Responsible of the Video Production and Coordinator of the Research Line Smart City at ESDi School of Design, Ramon Llull University. She also has lectured internationally in Cultural Centers and Congress: at the Center of Technology - Oranim Academic College (Israel), at School of Visual Arts (New York), at The International Center in New York, at the University of Barcelona, among others.
As an artist, Mireia Feliu has received prestigious recognitions such as the Fundació ”la Caixa” Fellowship (Barcelona, 2001), Peggy Guggenheim Collection Internship (Venice, 1999), SVA Alumni Society Award (New York, 2004), Eyebeam Internship (New York, 2004), New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship (Computer Art, 2005), Diapason Gallery Residency (New York, 2003), Fundació Espais Award (Girona, 2006), Grant from Institut Ramon Llull for moving Art projects, among others. Her work has been exhibited internationally: in CCCB Barcelona Contemporary Culture Center, at Big Screen Project Festival in New York; at Region 0 Festival in the Art Museum of the Americas, Washington DC; in Centro Metropolitano de Diseño de Buenos Aires; and in Cuale Cultural Center de Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; among others. Her most important solo shows have been at the New Media Gallery - Oranim Academic College (Israel, 2011), at Centre d'Art Cal Massó (Reus, 2010) and at Safia Gallery (Barcelona, 2010).
